We produce bespoke hats, fascinators and headpieces which are designed individually for you.
Each hat is "hand blocked" in the traditional way using both contemporary and vintage wooden blocks and equipment. Each creation is hand stitched and finnished to give a truly couture look.
Our quality and choice of materials is superior which can be difficult to find in the mass produced, machine made hat. We also hand dye our materials and trims to create the perfect match or compliment to your outfit, or make it from your own fabric. Our feathers are hand dyed and trimmed to your exact requirements.
Great-Hattitude can create any type of headwear to fit your personal requirements and budget, anything from a small and delicate fascinator, a chic vintage cloche to a "WOW" of a picture hat.
The creation begins by inviting you to an initial consultation where you can try on different styles and shapes to find what you like and what suits you best. Many women feel that they do not suit hats, but in reality it is just a case of finding what suits you and what you are comfortable in. We will also look at fabrics and colours to create a "Look" which will be individually yours. You will then instruct us to enhance your headpiece in any way you wish so it reflects your personal style and personality.
Your hat, fascinator or headpiece will be an original, a unique piece of work created by us for you, it will never be repeated.
We use a range of materials carefully chosen for their allure, style and quality, including silk, crinoline, parasizal straw and natural fibres such as sinamay, pinokpok and felt. These materials can be dyed to colour match, tone with, or simply compliment your outfit.
You may like us to incorporate feathers which can be dyed and trimmed specially for your hat. We can add semi precious gemstones, crystals or beads to achieve your desired "look". Great-Hattitude specialise in feathered creations and these can be hand dyed and trimmed to your specifications.
To source or create the necessary materials for your hat may take us some time as well as the actual making and finnishing. In an ideal world we would appreciate as much notice as possible in order to make you a hat. Two weeks would be the ideal, but if you need a hat in a hurry we can usually oblige depending on our current workload and your specifications.
Prices start from 85.00 pounds for a small simple "fascinator" or headpiece and can go up to 300 pounds for a larger and more elaborate headpiece.
Hat prices range from 225.00 pounds to 500.00 pounds Bespoke hand dyeing will add to this initial cost.
